Josh Blye (Verges)

Josh Blye is a true Native New Yorker, having grown up in Manhattan and the surrounding areas. Josh graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2006 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree in Drama. Some of his favorite credits include: Abraham in Altar Boyz, Napthali in Joseph..., Paul/Bobby/Zach/Greg (u/s) in A Chorus Line, Freddy Eynsford-Hill in My Fair Lady, Mr. Applegate in Damn Yankees, and he also recently participated in a workshop of a new rock musical titled A Separate Peace, based on the novel of the same name. Josh hasn't only done musicals, he was also in a private reading of The Death of the Ball-Turret Gunner, The Miracle Worker, Romeo and Juliet (with the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and Chekov's "The Bear." Josh is thrilled to be making his debut with Communicable Arts in Much Ado and is even more excited to reunite with one of his favorite directors from the past, Barrie Gelles. He sends his thanks to all of his family and friends!

Samantha is overjoyed to be back in New York and proud to join this tremendous ensemble in braving the summer heat and mounting Shakespeare alfresco. Recent New York credits include: Comedy of Errors and Henry VI, Part III. Select regional: Hair (Crissy), As You Like It (ensemble, u/s Celia) with Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Attrition with the Exit Theatre in San Francisco. Training: B.A. in Theatre - UC San Diego, ACT - San Francisco, Circle in the Square - New York, and the Lorenzo d'Medici School - Florence, Italy. Many thanks to Barrie, Becky, and her biggest fans - Mom and Dad.
Meaghan Cross (Balthasar)

Meaghan is thrilled to be making her debut with Communicable Arts in Much Ado About Nothing. Meaghan is a recent graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and a HUGE Shakespeare dork. Her favorite roles include: As You Like It (Rosalind), Desdemona (Bianca), Anything Goes (Bonnie), The Fantastiks (Louisa). Meaghan can currently be seen as Suzon in 8 Women: A Karaoke Murder Mystery playing at Professor Thom's. Meaghan would like to thank her amazing family and friends for all their love and support, especially her parents who drive her to and from the bus stop in NJ, so that she can make all her rehearsals. To the wonderful cast and crew of Much Ado: Break a leg!!
Joey Davis (Benedick)

Joey is working with Communicable Arts for the second summer season, having appeared last year in Comedy of Errors as Antipholus of Syracuse. Other theatre credits include You Can't Take it With You (Donald), Tony and Tina's Wedding (Father Mark), Sticks and Stones (Mr. Collins), Actor's Nightmare (George), Under Milk Wood (Various), Dead Man's Apartment (Lonnie/Director), The Vagina Monologues (Director/Designer), Long Distance Carriers (Director/Designer), among others. A native of Michigan, Joey is also a full-time alternative high school English teacher in Brooklyn. He holds a B.A. in Theatre and Political Science and a B.S. in English and History, both from Central Michigan University. Much love and great thanks to his family, Barrie, Becky, his students and the company - and especially to his mom, who hasn't missed a show since he debuted in second grade!
Ray Fisher (Don Pedro)

Ray Fisher is a recent graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC). His recent theater credits include: *Twelfth Night* (Orsino), *Attorney For The Damned* (Dr. Blake), *Guys and Dolls* (Sky Masterson), and *Charlotte's Web* (Templeton). Ray would like to thank Mom and Nana without whom nothing in his life would be possible.

Aly is currently working on her BFA at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she previously studied at Playwrights Horizons Theater School and will continue her studies at the Experimental Theatre Wing in the fall. She has also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. New York Theatre: Antigone (Ismene), Spinnig Truth(s): Tales We Were Told (Kalliope). RADA: Much Ado About Nothing (Leonato/Hero), Henry VI (Joan of Arc), King Lear (Lear/Cordelia). NYU Tisch: The Wayside Documentaries (Bebe Gunn), A Puppet Show (Author), Parade (Monteen), The Mother of Modern Censorship (Khadiga Saad). She is thrilled to be appearing in this incredible production of Much Ado About Nothing. Aly would like to send her love and thanks to Barrie, the cast, and her incredible family & friends!
Jonathan Randell Silver (Claudio)

Jonathan Randell Silver is happy to be working with the Communicable Shakespeare Project for the second time. He was last seen as Wilbur in TheatreWorks USA's touring production of Charlotte's Web. Regional theater credits include: Under Milk Wood, Threepenny Opera (Williamstown); Peter Pan & Wendy (A.R.T.); Marvin's Room (Co-op Theater). Film credits include: Keeping The Faith dir. Edward Norton; Jack dir. Francis Ford Coppola. He has a BA in Theater & Art History from Drew University and a certificate of higher education from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
Kristin Wahrheit (Conrade)

Having just completed her first year teaching theatre at a high school in the South Bronx, Kristin is delighted to return to the stage in *Much Ado*, her first production with Communicable Arts. A longtime resident of the fabulous borough of Brooklyn, Kristin holds an MA in Educational Theatre from New York University and a BS from James Madison University. She has worked with Augusto Boal at the Center for Theatre of the Oppressed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was an active member of NYU's traveling repertory company Shakespeare to Go. In addition to directing and design credits, favorite roles include *Tongue of a Bird* (Dessa), *A Midsummer Night's Dream* (Titania/Hippolyta/Snug), *Hamlet* (Queen Gertrude), *Picnic*(Rosemary Sydney), *The Wake of Jamey Foster* (Marshael Foster), *Crazy for You* (Tess), and *42nd Street* (Peggy Sawyer). Special thanks to her family and friends who support and highly encourage her performing bug, to the cast for reminding her of the joy of playing, and to Barrie and Becky for taking a chance on a stranger. She dedicates this performance to all students who think theatre is, ya know, a'ight.
